Tesla launches Model Y

Model Y will be the new kid on the block that completes Tesla’s lineup (S3XY).

The SUV will start at $39,000 for the standard range but will also come in long range, dual motor and performance variants.
It looks very similar to the Model 3 but it sits a little higher and it has a hatchback.

The interior features the same 15-inch touchscreen and panoramic roof, with the same minimalistic look and spacious interior, it will carry 7 adults that is not often seen in his class. The range is 230 miles (370 km) for the base version and up to 300 miles (480 km) for the long-range version and with the fast-growing superchargers network, range anxiety is no longer present.

With the recently launched supercharger V3, model y will charge at rates up to 1,000 miles per hour.

As Tesla CEO stated that they don’t produce slow cars, the new model acceleration for the performance version for 0-60 mph is 3.5 seconds, faster than some supercars.

The medium size SUV market is getting crowded and by the time Model Y will be available (2020) other manufacturers will have their cars in this class.

Tesla looks like it has a winner for now and probably Model Y will be one of the most sold cars in their lineup along Model 3.
